I have had litters (5 and 4 pups) that I started to housebreak before they went to there forever homes- No papertraining or potty pads. It was nuts but everyone would tell me the pups knew what to do when they brought them home.

I did keep 2 from 1 litter. It was tough but we all survived. I highly doubt I would do it again but I can never say never.
