Day 10 of puppy being home and he is doing great on housebreaking. When we go out, he goes #1 right away and then wants to play or heads right back into the house. He definitely gets the idea. Wondering if there is anything I can do to encourage him to do both #1 & #2 while we're outside in one trip. Right now #2 happens 3 times/day. But it always seems to be 15-20 minutes after we come in from #1.

Is it something he'll outgrow or should I be doing something to encourage him?

Also, when did you start letting your dog go outside on his/her own to take care of business?
