As you well know a good breeder will raise, rear, train, and show their dogs to championship. They will do all the health and what little genetic testing is available for their breeding dams n sires. They will spend countless hours reviewing pedigrees running programs to see breed compatibility matches. And then they we spend weeks at home nail biting to see how the whelp goes, and more weeks nailbiting to see how the pups turn out.
For me I prefer to meet folks in the walk of our lives, when I'm at shows, or obedience rings, or swimming or hiking with the pups. But then again I am not in it to make money; but to maintain and if God is good to improve this breed I breed. And to know, to educate yourself requires time and lots of it, along with a financial investment with not a thought of "payback". |
It is not the only task I perform either.....I spent countless hours and dollars on these pups. I was merely referring to the placement of these pups in homes.
