I agree he was probably just reading it off a monitor. I have travelled with a dog internationally for 15 years and have never been asked for a health certificate. They don't even ask for their regular records. I have flown american, delta, air canada and us air. You would think that if this a mandatory regulation someone at sometime would have asked. I called a vet here to get some information about this and they told me they can give me one for 71 dollars. This is ridiculous. I have all her paperwork from my vet that was issued in january showing she has all her shots and all her history and all he was going to do was look at her and sign a paper. Robbery. I am going to take my chances, i am not getting one. They should not have let me into the country if it is that important. I am just going to hand them my health record from canada and see what happens and i have printed off the in cabin rules...just in case. My travel agent said he had a hard time to understand english and didn't speak english that well either. I am wondering if it isn't a call centre for united in some other country taking their calls. I will let you know how we make out. |
