So true. This is why routine and regular veterinary care with annual blood work etc is so important to make sure one isn't lulling themselves into false beliefs about their dog's well being. I can tell you that it does become challenging when you've got one with multiple problems to achieve a state where indeed their health radiates and they indeed are "thriving."
