I think there's a difference between "thriving" and surviving. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there feeding the worst of the worst and saying their dog is thriving on that food. I have friends who eat nothing but junk and are as thin as a rail, yes they'd say they're perfectly fine right now but would they benefit from a healthier diet? of course. There's no question that the effects of these unhealthy foods take a toll on the body. You may be lucky enough to avoid those effects for a while with good genetics but i'd rather not take that chance with me or my pet.
