Thank you! The bluebonnet is the Texas State Flower, for those of you who didn't know this. I agree, they do make for a colorful photo shoot!

Thank you so much! The bluebonnet is the Texas State Flower and, yes, they do grow wild. They usually grow best and thrive in poor soil. They only spread when they died off and their seeds drop. I planted some on my parents' gravesite about 6 weeks ago. They are coming up, but didn't produce flowers this year.
