Hi all...heard on the news yesterday that a puppy mill right in my own backyard(Durham Region...Clarington, Ontario) has been shut down. Police and animal rescue acted on a tip and found 31 young pups livng in deplorable conditions. They were found surrounded by feces and urine...some so filthy the vet had trouble taking their temperature! They are all now being cared for by the Durham Humane Society and are now available for adoption. My good friend is a yorkie lover as are myself and all of you on this forum, the dogs range in breed....maltese, maltipoo, schnauzer and cairn and yorkshire terrier. You know i wanted to take them all home, they all looked so scared, yes i was in tears. Marcia...maricayorkie and myself were there this afternoon. i was unable to take one home at this time, but Marcie bless her heart went home with wags...a maltese mix!!
