That is awful. I'm sure the owner was hoping that you would have cooled off after a few days of waiting for a call back. I still think he owes you a refund but as long as you can buy food there I guess it's better than nothing.

It is an awful thing but some states do not require that "groomers" attend an accredited school and be licensed. It's a shame because in many places someone can become a self proclaimed groomer even though they have hardly a clue about what they are doing. I suppose it does not take a lot of skill to give a dog a bath but a true hair cut that does not involve simply shaving the coat off does require some know how. Being able to calm an anxious pet is a skill in it's self. There are just so many reasons to choose a groomer so very carefully.
