I beleive this is why many list themselves as "hobby breeders" to avoid any licensing or applicable inspections, certifications etc...terming something doesn't make it so neither does it excuse any adherence to the law which is so minimal anyways it's pathetic-nevertheless ANY income one makes is to be accounted for in income taxes.

Heck, when you have a yard sale you are supposed to claim the income!
Furthermore those on public assistance are even more so required to report any and all income and the value of any gifts they receive or any bills paid for them by a third pary...ALSO they are required to account for their assets...in California if you have an unaltered dog it is considered an asset...sickly ironic...the puppies produced in a litter if not proven to have been given to a state licenses nonprofit rescue ARE considered asset!

I just called an asked my friend she's a supervisor in the fiscal department of the Social Services office!

She further added that anyone who feels someone is not properly reporting should call the county that person live in and make a report-the investigators LOVE the internet because they can prove fraud without having to leave their desks!
