Angry Aggressive Parents Force Easter Egg Hunt Cancellation.

Wow.... what a shame!

Aggressive parents force egg hunt cancellation - Road Runner

I have taken my kids to many egg hunts over the years both private and open to the public. Where they have walked away empty handed. It is always very disappointing and hard on them as a young child. They just dont understand it.

Why, mostly due to the parents who take over the event. I have seen parents drag their child across the open field, picking up the eggs them selves and just get totally s**t faces with the intention of getting as many eggs for their own child as they can. I guess screw all the other children. Their child's baskets will be so over flowing with eggs falling out of their baskets. The hunt is over in a madder of minutes while some of the more timid or shy children like my own stand there with nothing but an empty basket. Too many times my kids have walked away saddens and disappointed by the other parents greed ! Egg hunts are intended for the children and it seem like the parents get in the way of what is so pose to be a happy time for them. But ends up being totaly Ridiculous and shameful !!

I always told my kids that they are allowed so many eggs. Once they reach that amount they are to walk away and let other kids get some of the eggs too.

Oh and when it comes time for the free lunch for the kids it has also been total utter kayos and ridiculous the way the parents handle themselves. The parents take food that is intended for the children Only! You see those same parents who were on the field with their child and who arrive with grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles and cousins sitting there eating the lunch that was meant to be for the kids. It is quit sad !!

It's like come people .... get a freakin clue !!

I remember this one time a local retirement home had a very nice easter egg hunt open to the public. Lunch was nice, the easter bunny was there for photos but the egg hunt was a disaster. My son was not a very aggressive child. And as my husband and I sat there and watched, every time my son who was only 4 at the time would bent over to pick up an egg. Another kid would Swoop in and take it!! So, that was the last straw, never again, we are done with egg hunts

Thank goodness my kids are too old for them now. We stopped going a long time ago. Even though it's only been a year since my son now knows that there is no Easter bunny.

Ok, I'm done NOw.... This article just brought back a few flash back moment...

Anyone else have simular experiences with their child's Easter egg hunts!
