I am in the NYC area and interested in an adult female yorkshire terrier. I have been reaching out to many breeders and have not had much luck. I have used the ytca.org website and sent many e-mails and am still having trouble finding a match.

I am fine with a female up to three years old perhaps a retired show dog. Anyone who has any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. In addition since finding an adult seems to be difficult (I have been looking for the right match for over a month with very few leads), how much does the average yorkie puppy cost? I am sure it varies widley, but I just want to know some sort of ball park, to begin that search too.
