I think it just depends on how much you want to risk. I, personally, do NOT keep dogs indoors until their fully vaccinated. That would mean they were 16 weeks old, or more, if you were to wait until the last shot kicks in or whatever. We've never kept our dogs indoors for that long and I can't imagine doing so. Jackson had sooo much socialization by then and had experienced snow, grass, mud, wind, dirt, rain, etc. I started potty training outdoors at 9 weeks old with him. However this was in our own yard. He was also around my family's dogs, since we lived with them. And I knew they were UTD on stuff. I wouldn't do any type of dog park thing, or pet store, etc, until pup vaccines are completed. I guess it depends on how many dogs are going to be there and if you know them all well enough to know they are healthy.
