Maddie has done the, what I think is the reverse sneezing. Crazy thing is, it happens the day after she's had a heartworm pill. My vet says that wouldn't cause it, but it's the only time she does it. You're right...it is so scary. When Maddie does that, I put my fingers over her nostrils and that usually stops it. I guess it forces them to take a breath through their mouth or something. Anyway, that works for Maddie...give it a try!
Another suggestion...have a video recorder handy so when they do it, you can record it and show it to your vet. |
