I do have a dog actually, she is a 16 year old Shih-Tzu. Surprisingly, she was purchased as a gift for my brother and I from a pet store in NJ and has not had any problems at all, still very active for such an old dog. If I had known the puppy mill information I know now, I would have frowned upon my mother purchasing her from there. I will have to ask my vet about local breeders to see if he recommends any. Seems like a good idea, thanks!
