I have no idea. I haven't heard or read anywhere that a dog can stay on them. I will be taking her back if she needs to be seen. Today was her last pill. She hasn't wheezed at all today so far, but I'm sure by tomorrow she will start up again. She's still on her antibiotic for secondary infection. I'm now wondering if she really did have an infection that caused her so much of a problem breathing. I've learned one thing out of all this.........If a Vet. can't get to the root of a problem the first time, then I'll go on down to Dr. Bruecker in Ventura. They don't mess around with guessing games and prescribing medication before they know what the real problem is. They are wonderful!! This last Vet. I took her to is also very good, but they don't specialize in any one thing, but that doesn't mean they aren't great Vets. I say "they" because there are two young Vets. One owns the clinic. Both are young women who truly care for animals and you can sure tell that right away. I'll stick with them for everything unless it's something they can't handle then I'll go to Ventura.
