That sounds like Avery....When we brought him home, he wasn't afraid of our Blue Heeler, our horses or our cows (maybe because he was in my arms), but when he saw our cat........He was terrified. He's finally used to her now, and they play all of the time, but at first he wanted absolutely nothing to do with her!
