I'm probably gonna catch some flak here from other members, all the suggestions are good, but here is what has worked for me. Experiment, find something the puppy will do ANYTHING to get. One of mine goes nuts for potato chip crumbs, and the other would bake a cake for a lick of peanut butter off my finger. Just be sure they don't know you have the special goodies until they have done what you ask them to do.
