I think his temp might be normal because his ears feel good, not hot to the touch. He doesn't feel overly warm either.

Well, anyway, after a session of doing this, he lay down and started chewing on one end for a bit as I watched but soon he was down and "hiding" it over by the TV. He started reverse sneezing and he hasn't done that in forever. I am wondering if that thing scratched his throat or something, even though he only chewed about 3 minutes. I've noticed his reverse sneezing usually seemed to come after chewing rawhide or something hard chew but after this, am becoming more convinced. He's gagged some after chewing some but nothing bad. Could that CET chew have scratched his throat even though you never saw anything? |
The enzymes or whatever that come off the chew may have irritated his throat. He definitely did not get a piece to swallow. I make him sit in my lap and I hold the chew while he works on it. When I threw it in the garbage, it was in one big square piece, not even a little edge missing. I even dug it out to check again.
This did start an hour or hour and a half after the chew.
