How do they walk individually?

Take the two best walkers in one hand, and the worst walker in the other hand.

Or start out with just two. While they are learning, walk at a very brisk pace. Go to an area and stop and let them sniff around. Then, get walking briskly again. Eventually they will learn to pee and poo at the same time rather than stop, start, stop, start, etc.

Or can you be more specific of the problems you are having?

Note: I now walk mine individually. Just the other day a neighbor's lab and her Pit Bull came charging at me and Sapphire. I heard growling and turned and saw them running at us at breakneck speed. I had just enough time to pick her up and hide her inside my jacket. The dogs were on us before I heard the owner trying unsuccessfully to call them off. They didn't bite me, only gave me a heart attack. I keep thinking what would have happened if I had all 4 of mine walking that day.

This is only one of 5-6 encounters with loose dogs, hence my decision to walk them separately.

I didn't use couplers bc mine would attack each other out of frustration when they can't get to a dog in a yard....
