this thread was started to ask questions about other meetup groups, because I am thinking of starting one in the northern suburbs of Detroit (Oakland County area) and to discuss what goes on at meetups. It's not to promote or recruit anyone to the group I am in. I hope posters will try to respect that intention and stay somewhat on point. Of course if a desire to start a new group in your area develops on this thread like with the Indy folks, feel free to match make here
