Dew claws are normally removed when the tail is cropped, normally about the 3rd day after birth (or around that time). They can be removed later, of course, just ask your vet about it. If they are kept, just keep an eye on the nail length, it can cause problems if the nail gets too long, such as snagging and then getting torn, as well as problems with the nail getting too long and curving inward... Ect. Good luck!
