Default Weekend course was.....

As I had seen Brenda work before I was surprised at the fact that she was well gone to the dark side.
She got her hands on a dog that she thought was not listening and well made an example of it. She got it by the halti and did not let go till it looked at her. It's front feet where off the ground and it was not happy.
"It looks worse than it is" was what she said.
It looked and was bad and well that was that for me.
I finished out the day and did not return with my dog.
I did not let her near my girl again.
I said thank to her not because she taught me to do a thing but that for once I listen to my heart and gut and ran.
I learn not a thing that I could not have learn from better educated sources on being kind and respectful of living things.
My girl had a rough night of being shaky and jumpy so we spent the next day at the beach.
The whole thing was badly organized and those of us that brought our dogs a long distance where left to pretty much fend for our selves.
Our forms that should have come, arrived late but those living in the area got theirs. We got parking spaces close but that is about it.
I found that I paid for a working spot and got nothing for it and the next day A Chow was brought in to join the group. ??? like I was pleased that that was going to happen as well.
As for personal remarks on Brenda's manner will leave that alone other then to say I found the disrespect she showed those that came before her in her training annoying, The lack of acknowledging Truid Rugass and what she brought to training dogs and the language of dogs stunned me. That Brenda had the nerve to say Truid was wrong in anyway is nothing short of laughable.
The other thing as well was that she had read my forms where she had not many of the others and I got to hear by little pokes just what I have done wrong without a ton of info as to how to change any of it.
The fact I have my girl medicated do to anxiety and I also use a muzzle to introduce her to strange dogs, a poke at my full time Job as a Nanny.
and it goes on.
Oh yes and we got to hear about how she hates being talked about on lists after that fact. Well to bad she been talked about good or bad as I had said I would let you now how it when.
She took one look at my girl walking in the door of a cold building dressed in a jogger to keep her warm as well as support her in containing stress in the T Touch way and did not wish to work with her or me as she got the wrong idea of who and what we are.
The corker of the day was when she said kind and thoughtful things of every other dog in the room but mine, she called stupid. "Who knows what the terrier is thinking"
I call it a wasted of a trip except My girl got to play on a beach and hang out like a normal dog. A first for her.
I would not recommend taking a dog to her in any way shape or form and after reading her latest book it not worth it either I would get Triuds new addition first. Some of her other works can be adapted to be used in a kind manner but with other training books taht are based on the fact dogs have souls and need to be respected I go with them.
