I have a 2 year old neutered yorkie that has recently started to bleed from his penis every time he gets an erection. He gets an erection and starts to hump my 4 yr old neutered male yokie. When he bleeds it is alot of blood! Not just a couple of drops.
I have taken my dog to the vet several times for this. First time, vet treated him for uti. That didn't work... Second time the same vet took labs (which came out normal) and said he had prostatitis and gave him 2 week of antibiotics. Well that didn't work so I took him to another vet for a second opinion and he said that his prostate was very small so it couldn't be prostatitis and he thinks it just a vessel that he breaks when getting an erection and is what causes all that bleeding...
The thing is that this is happening more than once a week, has anyone ever experienced this? I live in the chicago land area, is there a specialist I can see for this? It is so stressful for me to see my yorkie bleeding so much from his penis..
