I just kept the hair trimmed close on both of mines ears and they eventually stood without taping.

We had Gwenni's dewclaws removed when she had her spay as her breeder hadn't removed them properly and they were beginning to cause harm. They really took a long time to heal and she had to wear a soft cone longer than I would have liked. If they aren't causing your babies any trouble I don't know if I would remove them.
