I left Callie's ears how they where and they never stood but I love her floppy ears. I think what you are talking about is the dew claws and its before 3 weeks that they are cut off, they are cut off when the tails are docked. After they are a certain age they cant just be cut off the dog has to be anesthetized and then they have to be removed.
