Don't think watermelon would work because it would disappear when drying. ( I tried celery once and the pieces got very tiny! Not worth it.)
Your can also use ground meat and make little logs for treats, my Tessa loves these. Make them all the time!
How cool!! Are they kind of hard, so that it takes them awhle to chew them up? Maybe all the stores that have sold that ground meat with the "pink slime" filler, will be putting that on sale since the public out rage about it! Now would be the time to snatch up a whole lot and make these logs!!! This will be my next dehydrating adventure!!!
