I'm sorry to hear about your DH's step dad. I wouldn't feel bad. Its all circumstancial. I doubt the new arrival will keep you from family matters as you plan and attend services, and the extra time will be helpful. It'll all work out. Things happen for a reason, so maybe her arrival at this difficult time will bring a ray of sunshine at an otherwise sad and difficult time in your lives.
