Hi...first of all, thanks to all who posted on my thread.
Yes the guy was legitimate. I also looked up codes for my city and they are now requiring the micro chip, so that is accurate.
I live in Riverside, California. All I can say is California...one of the most regulated states there are...we have laws up the wazoo.

I guess I was just taken back when the guy showed up yesterday. I mean Copper is neutered (also required unless you are a "known" breeder what ever the heck that means) has all his shots, rabies, etc. and licensed. I have complied with the law. He wears a collar with his name and my information. He weighs 4 lbs, is not vicious and is in the house or with me or a responsible caregiver. I realize he could get lost through unusual circumstances. But come on...what more can you ask of us as pet owners?

I have decided to wait a while before I micro chip him. It still bugs me to do this.
