Gracie is micro chipped but I did it of my own free will. It is unfortunate but these town and city councils can make whatever laws they want to. Many people don't get involved in their local politics but this is a good example of why we should be closely involved in what is going on in local politics.
A town council near where I live made it against the law to let your cat outside. I was watching a news piece on TV just this week about a couple with 4 dogs who purchased a house in a certain residential area. When they were all moved in they were informed by the local police that they have a law that they cannot have more than 2 dogs.
Now they are selling the house and will be taking a huge loss because they will not get rid of one of their dogs. In the mean time the town is trying to fine them $1000.00 a day for having their dogs. |
