If I were you, I'd talk it over with my vet. Yorkies usually need to have some of their baby teeth removed so it's smart to wait till they have some of their adult teeth. It's important to find a vet that specializes in small breeds, so that he knows the problems associated with anesthesia and small dogs. Many want to neuter before marking becomes too ingrained, so neutering before 12 months is wise. We neutered Joey around 7 or 8 months, it's a pretty simple surgery for boys.
