All my dogs are microchiped, all the puppies that leave my home are microchiped,it does NOT hurt the dog, only rare instances of the dog's inmune system rejecting the microchip have been reported. I follow most of the reports. To me is one more way of making sure that this dog is returned to his rightful owner if ever gets stolen or lost.
NOW on the other hand, I hate the fact that the Goverment, is TELLING you what you have to do, it should be YOUR choice. the bigger the goverment, bigger and more mandates we get..
hugs,
and no the microchip does not have GPS, it needs to be scan with a special scaner, and it shows a number, when you register that number with a company like pet link the person who scans calls the registry and your informations pups up.
hugs,
