My sister bought a Yorkie that is supposed to weigh around 3 to 3 and half pounds full grown. I would be nervous with a tiny one but so many are comfortable with them..now Miss Priss parents were of standard size, Mom at 7 lbs. and Dad at 5 lbs. She needs to be about standard b/c I have a Peke and I wanted them to be closer to the same size but then again Yoshi is getting a little hefty. LOL
