I agree with the other posters... I would wait a bit on taking him to the groomers. If I were you, I'd groom him myself! It sounds like he will take well to being groomed at home, and it will save you a ton of money and keep him away from the groomer if you do it yourself
I've seen a lot of people get horrible haircuts from groomers, so I'd rather mess up their hair myself than pay for someone else to mess it up
