I think if you have say 2 dogs then you need to have at least two beds like in the living room and any other room you would have one dog bed. Callie has a mattress like bed in her crate and then she has a cloud 9 in the living room and a bed in the craft room upstairs. If we move which we are hoping to do at some point and I get a bigger room she will have two beds in my room one being the crate so the fan doesn't blow on her and another being the cloud 9. As well as a cloud 9 in the living room and maybe the craft room. A cloud 9 is like the only bed Callie has ever really loved and will chose over furniture.
