I have tried leaving her for 5, 10 mins etc but she gets herself worked up into such a state that i end up feeling guilty. I have tried putting her in a vari kennel so she feels safe but that does not work and i have even purchased a thundershirt which is supposed to help with anxiety but has no real effect. Any ideas would be very welcome. Thankyou
i think you partly answered your own question.
You say you work from home and never leave the dogs
unattended.
It sounds like your baby is not used to being without you.
You are on the right track by practicing leaving the room .
GET A GATE AND PUT IT UP TO THE DOORWAY.
LEAVE THE ROOM FOR A SECOND AND STEP BACK IN .
THEN THE NEXT TIME JUST FOR A MINUTE , AS SOON AS SHE IS QUIET STEP BACK IN
AND TELL HER GOOD GIRL AND GIVE HER A TREAT.
JUST KEEPING PRACTICING THIS . EVENTUALLY SHE WILL LEARN THAT WHEN YOU LEAVE
THE ROOM YOU ARE COMING BACK..

HOPE THIS HELPS
