My son is about to turn 3 and had one of those in his therapy room. Every time I went in there, he was on it. Definitely a favorite!
I think the big one might be ok with the supervision and a net. But my son....being a boy....would probably jump into the net. I am not sure how sturdy the nets are. But then again....that's where the supervision comes in.
Plus.....a big one will definitely last a long time!
