I use comfortis and have never had a problem. If he has felas now it will kill them with in 2 hours and then kill any flea's that get on him. This is a pill you give once a month. If you give it make sure he has a full tummy, best goven with food.

It also sounds like he has a flea bite allergy and that is miserable.
