Not that I've participated in a GE, but I have observed the issues as an outsider. Of course, life happens sometimes and that affects a members ability to participate or ship out on time. Having a member who has been here longer helps because you get to know them better, and that member is more comfortable when reaching out to say Admin or another member if ever a problem arises. Overall, better communication would help a lot of the issues that I've seen on these GE's.
