Our mail is dropped though the front door. There is a small hallway where 2 french glass panel doors are. When Dexter hears the mail he just about wants to go through the glass panels. We are usually home, when we are going out we leave him in the Kitchen on his fleece.

If he could reach the mail, he would tear it up. I know this because one day I was not fast enough picking up a magazine, you know the rest.
