I finally hand fed her b/c she kept refusing to eat. She drank very very little water w/ Karo. I just checked on her now & she still hasn't urinated or had a BM. She also isn't walking around or doing anything. I stand her up & she'll stand for a second & lay back down. I'm worried something isn't right. Is this normal??? Please someone let me know!! Thanks so much!!!
It is not uncommon for a new puppy to not want to eat after going to their new home. So that in itself is not worrisome but I would agree with the need to give a tiny puppy Nutrical to help with possible hypoglycemia. Also, if they are not eating you cannot expect poop either. Just continue to offer the food and always have water available. You can also rub Karo syrup directly onto the gums for a quick fix as well. When they are so young and small this can quickly turn into a medical emergency. If the gums are white and sticky please go to the vet immediately. How is your little one doing today?
