I think it makes a big difference if you cut the hair around their eyes. I don't cut the hair around my dog's eyes, and it lays flat and doesn't get in their eyes. If you are trimming that hair, it is probably poking him in the eye and isn't helping with the crusties.

I clean Couver and Khloe's eyes every other day and on bath day. When I bathe them, I use a flea comb and comb out the crusties around their eyes. This really helps clear them up.

Also, why is your little guy on an all wet diet?
