Congratulations! I have been VERY hesitant to be specific about how old my Luma was when she came home a week ago. She was almost 10 weeks old. I knew that they say a reputable breeder will keep them until 12 weeks at least. My girl was not a petite little thing, not a "teacup" at all, and she is very healthy. I was obviously impatient to bring her home but I trust my breeder completely, she has had yorkies for YEARS and all of hers are very healthy.

I hope that your breeder is letting him go home so early because she was confident that he would be okay, not because she needed some money a couple weeks early/didn't care about his best interests. Perhaps you could ask your breeder if they could keep the puppy a while longer.
