My Chanel has develop a sudden allergy to chicken after her third litter, very rare said my vet, but now she can't have chicken, her poops go soft and smelly, and she started scratching like she had fleas.. it was horrible, and on top of that she was lactating a litter of 6, vet recomended to change the food, which I did to instinct lamb and like a miracle she got better in a week, so I determined that NO more chicken for her, or anything that contains chicken, she still licks her paws a bit but is only been two months since we discover this, i am retiring her from my breeding program and having her spayed. I am keeping her as a pet for now on, I don't want to rehome her either, my vet and my son who is going to vet school, said that chicken and grains allergies can develop over time and they are very common..
hugs,
