All responsible pet owners should spay and neuter. Spaying a female before her first heat keeps from getting certain cancers and lowers her risk of getting other cancers. Also what if some one broke into your house and took her and then used her in a puppy mill or if she got out and someone did the same. With boy dogs they will do some crazy things to get to a female in heat and will runaway sometimes and mark everything.
