I signed up for the site ages ago when I first started looking at yorkies but ended up putting off getting one due to financial issues. Well looks like I'm finally going to get my new baby
I'm picking her up tomorrow afternoon! I'm really excited, and can't seem to sleep so here I am :P
I've never had a dog with a coat like a yorkie (or any vaguely long coat at all to be honest) and was wondering what kinds of brushes and combs I'll need, as well as recommendations on shampoos. Also a lot of the articles I've read on grooming them sound like you have to blow dry them. Is that needed with a puppy cut? Any tips on getting them used to the dryer? Seems like it would scare them... How often do you guys have your yorkies proffesionally groomed? Really any tricks you guys have come across would be great. I'm really new to the grooming stuff
