I used Sentinel for many years on 5 dogs with great results and no problems, so I was not happy about the shortage and having to use something else. Like you, I also did not want a topical. My vet recommended Trifexis. Since my dogs had never used spinosad, I wasn't too crazy about the switch but felt I had no choice. I just made sure that the day they got it I was going to be home all day with them and watch them very closely. That was 11 days ago and everything has been normal since then. I will continue to keep an eye on them for subsequent doses until I build up my confidence level.
