I prefer to use Advantix that goes on the skin for fleas and ticks because even though I know he body sucks it up I still feel better about giving her that then another poison to ingest. I give her interceptor for heartworms. I have never heard of a pill working for ticks. Also I would make sure to get her tested for heartworms once a year.
