Best I can tell from my research...
Trifexis and Sentinal (both chewable tablet) use the same active ingredient for heartworm, hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm (2.3mg milbemycin oxime). HOWEVER, Trifexis contains Spinosad for fleas and says it "kills fleas before they can lay eggs", while Sentinal uses lufenuron which "kills flea eggs and larvae before they become adults".
And since it was mentioned... Revolution (topical) contains selamectin (a parasiticide) which "prevents heartworm, flea eggs from hatching... kills immature heartworm, adult fleas, ticks... treat and control roundworm, hookworm, ear mites, sarcopic mange".
BTW lowest weight options are: Trifexis 5-10lbs, Sentinal 2-10lbs, Revolution up to 5lbs
Hope this helps... with all the new products out there it is so difficult to make an informed decision.
