Petey is doing OK, not great, so far. He had to be transported from the Emergency Vets to his regular vet and he remains there. I went with my friend to visit him yesterday, it was patheticly sad to see him like this.

Vet said it was NOT the raisins, but the bread had become a clump of gooey dough in his belly that couldn't be passed, there were not many raisins but they were still intact....the vet said that every animal is different from the other, whats good for one is not for another etc., but she firmly believes dogs should not eat bread and especially not Panettone bread. The clump was only in his belly for a few hours when they took it out so the raisins didn't have much time to cause damage.

I admit that on occasion I give mini and mia a lil piece of my sandwich etc., but I won't again, just not worth it to me. So very sad.

As I'm typing this my friend just called and said Petey took a turn for the worse that she was headed over there. Will keep me posted. AWWWW
